Pablo Larrain’s biographical drama “Maria” about the opera diva of all time has already had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where the audience gave it an eight-minute standing ovation. Hollywood star Angelina Jolie was cast in the title role, accompanied by Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher and Valeria Golino. First trailers of the production are available on YouTube.
The film tells the story of Maria Callas. Shortly before her death, she returns to Paris after turbulent years of her career to come to terms with her own identity and life. The film will be available on the Netflix from Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
