Archival posters from twenty editions of Bydgoszcz Opera Festival released by Opera Nova
Bydgoszcz Opera has released a set of archival posters that will be available for purchase exactly one month prior to the inauguration of the jubilee XXX Bydgoszcz Opera Festival. The artworks have promoted the Festival over the past thirty years, becoming the “trademark” of its subsequent editions. They have been designed at the request of Opera Nova by recognized Polish graphic designers: Wiesław Rosocha, Wiktor Sadowski, Rosław Szaybo, Wiesław Grzegorczyk, Adam Pękalski, Michał Batory and Andrzej Klimowski.
Twenty posters were selected from archival publications in opera magazines, each commemorating one of the twenty featured Festivals, with the oldest artwork dating back to 1995. The most recent one was designed in 2020 for the XXVII Festival, canceled due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On March 20, Opera Nova opens an exhibition of the posters in the theatre lobby. They will also be available for purchase on that day. The next opportunity to acquire the collectible prints will be during the XXX Bydgoszcz Opera Festival, scheduled from April 20 to May 5.
