On April 12, the Gorzów Philharmonic holds concert titled “Pomysł na Mozarta” (“Concept for Mozart”), with programme including three works by the famous composer. Two of them, the motet ”Exsultate, Jubilate” and ”Piano Concert Es-Dur”, feature young American singer Chelsea Guo. She will perform the signature coloratura soprano part in the first piece and play the piano in the second one. The Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Przemysław Fiugajski.

”Exsultate, Jubilate” was composed by 17-year-old Mozart for the Milanese audience on the occasion of the production of one of his operas at the Teatro Regio Ducale. The composer wrote ”Piano Concert Es-Dur” as a 30-year-old experienced and recognized composer. The concert will also feature Symphony No. 1, which Mozart wrote at the age of 8 years.

Chelsea Guo won the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in 2022 as both a pianist and vocalist. Another highlight of the year was being named one of British radio station Classic FM’s “Rising Stars: 30 Brilliant Musicians We’re Celebrating in 2022.”
