“Cinderella”, “The Italian Girl in Algiers” and “The Barber of Seville” by Rossini at the 7th Summer Festival of the Polish Royal Opera
The 7th Summer Festival of the Polish Royal Opera begins on June 22. The upcoming edition is entirely devoted to the works of the Italian master of comic opera, Gioachino Rossini. All shows will be held at the Stanisławowski Theater in the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw. Dawid Runtz and Karol Szwech will step on the podium to conduct the Vocal Ensemble and Orchestra of the Polish Royal Opera.
The festival opens with the premiere of the two-act opera “Cinderella” (on stage June 22, 23, 26, 27), directed by Jitka Stokalska, with set designed by Marlena Skoneczko. The cast features: Sebastian Mach, Quan Zhou (Don Ramiro), Kamil Zdebel, Witold Żołądkiewicz (Dandini), Dariusz Machej, Michał Kijewski (Don Magnifico), Zuzanna Nalewajek, Katarzyna Szymkowiak (Angelina), Karolina Róża Kozłowska and Marta Mazanek-Matuszewska (Clorinda), Paweł Michalczuk, Paweł Trojak (Alidoro), Aleksandra Klimczak, Julia Mach (Tisbe).
Two other works by Rossini return to the programme: “The Italian Girl in Algiers” (on stage July 6, 7, 9) and “The Barber of Seville” (on stage July 18, 19, 20).
