Jubilee edition of International Adam Didur Opera Singers’ Competition on October 6-13

Since the beginning of June, applications have been accepted for the 5th Adam Didur International Opera Singers’ Competition.  The rules and the application form are available here.

Auditions begin on October 6. The winners will be offered to perform twice, with the first gala concert held at the Silesian Opera on October 1, and the second one – at the Stanisław Wyspiański Silesian Theater in Katowice on October 15.

The upcoming edition is unique, marking 45 years since the first national edition of the contest and 20 years since the first international one.

The competition is held by the Silesian Opera in Bytom. Baritone Andrzej Dobber has been appointed Artistic Director.
