The roles of the daughters of the King of Babylon will be sung by: Iga Caban, Oksana Nosatova and Jolanta Wagner (Abigaille), as well as Monika Korybalska and Elżbieta Wróblewska (Fenena). The cast also features Tomasz Kuk and Łukasz Gaj as Ismaele. The singers will be joined on stage by the Krakow Philharmonic choir.

The show opens on March 9 and 10, with more performances on March 13-17 and June 20 and 22, 2024. More details on the website.

“Nabucco”, the third opera created by Giuseppe Verdi (1813–1901), established his reputation as a composer. The plot is set in Jerusalem and Babylon in the 6th century BC. The titular king Nebuchadnezzar conquers Judea. The love adventures of his daughters and power rivalry at the royal court provide the background to the events that marked the beginning of the “Babylonian captivity” of the Jews.
