Masters’ Recitals: Mezzo-soprano Urszula Kryger at the Royal Castle in Warsaw
Recognized as one of Poland’s leading mezzo-sopranos, Urszula Kryger stands out for her outstanding work in the field of chamber music. Her vocal interpretations achieve a harmonious fusion of technical precision and organic spontaneity. This quality is highly appreciated by the musicians who collaborate with her – including renowned pianists Hartmut Höll, Charles Spencer, Melvyn Tan and Pascal Rogé; clarinetist Paul Meyer; and ensembles such as the Tokyo String Quartet and the Petersen Quartet – as noted in her biography on the Polish National Opera website.
Urszula Kryger will perform at the Royal Castle in Warsaw as part of the “Masters’ Recitals” series organized by the Warsaw Chamber Opera, accompanied at the piano by Paweł Cłapiński. The evening will be a rare opportunity to hear works seldom performed in Poland. The program includes French songs (Pauline Viardot, Reynaldo Hahn), Romantic repertoire (Franz Liszt), as well as Italian (Saverio Mercadante) and Polish works (Ludomir Różycki).
