New Year’s Eve at the Opera or the National Philharmonic, New Year with the Masovian Musical Theater – repertoire overview
On December 31, the major music stages in Warsaw will host operetta. The New Year’s Eve program at the Polish National Opera features arias from such works as “Die Fledermaus”, “Die Lustige Witwe”, “Die Csárdásfürstin” and “Das Land des Lächelns.” The artists who will perform with the Chorus and Orchestra of the Polish National Opera, under the baton of Patrick Fournillier, include: Izabela Matuła, Joanna Moskowicz, Piotr Buszewski and Stanislav Kuflyuk.
The Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, under the musical direction of Mateusz Molęda, together with Aleksandra Orłowska, will perform a program centered on the works of three Strausses: Johann, Eduard and Josef.
On the New Year’s Day, the audience of the concert performance held by the Masovian Musical Theater at the National Philharmonic will have a rare opportunity to hear Aleksandra Kurzak and Roberto Alagna perform, among others: arias and duets from operas by G. Puccini and A. Dvorak. Bassem Akiki conducts.
