From October 1, the opera “D’ARC,” produced to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Rising, will be available on the operavision.eu streaming platform.

The first off-opera in Poland is performed across seven spaces and features nearly a hundred artists. The protagonists of the play, directed by Krystian Lada, are three women sharing a goal of greater value than life – the courage to go against the current and defend their ideals. Their fight over values ignited an entire generation. Artists from Polish cinema and opera stage were involved in the theater project, including: Agnieszka Grochowska, Dobrawa Czocher and Gabriela Legun. The cast and creatives behind the production have been credited here.

The Opera Vision platform gives viewers worldwide free online access to the best opera productions. From October, the Warsaw Rising Museum will be part of the project. It is a great distinction for us that our production, created by such an esteemed artist, will be available to international audience – says Jan Ołdakowski, director of the Warsaw Rising Museum.

The show director Krystian Lada has collaborated with the most important opera stages in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany. His stagings are often set in unusual spaces: industrial halls, former hospitals or city squares. It was no different with “D’ARC” is no different in this respect as it has been created especially for the Museum.
