Sinfonia Varsovia holds auditions for Warsaw Civic Choir
Sinfonia Varsovia holds open auditions for the new Warsaw Civic Choir. The unique project will culminate on May 13, 2024, when 70 singers (sopranos, altos, tenors and basses), shortlisted in a two-stage audition process, will join the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir to sing Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9”. The extraordinary concert held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the European Union will be staged at the Polish National Opera.
The concert will feature conductor Henrik Nánási on the podium, with the soloists including: Iwona Sobotka (soprano), Agnieszka Rehlis (alto), Tadeusz Szlenkier (tenor) and Tomasz Konieczny (bass).

Established in 1984, Sinfonia Varsovia is a cultural institution based in the capital city of Warsaw. Its activities include organizing symphonic and chamber concerts, festivals, music competitions as well as promoting music through other events. At the heart of the institution is the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra.
