The 2nd edition of the festival, held by Grand Theater in Poznań, runs from September 28 until October 13. The chairman of the Programming Board (alongside conductor Jacek Kaspszyk and director Ilaria Lanzino) is John Allison – British music critic and Editor-in-Chief of “Opera Magazine.” Baritone and promoter of Polish music Szymon Mechliński has been appointed Artistic Director.

The festival will open with “Flis”, on stage on September 28 and 29 at the Polish Theater in Poznań. Conducted by Rafał Kłoczko, directed by Barbara Poll, featuring a number of emerging singers such as Albert Memeti, Magdalena Stefaniak and Paweł Trojak.

“Jawnut” returns, directed by Ilaria Lanzino with soloists of the Poznań Opera and Roma artists. The performance premiered on December 16, 2022 and received the International Opera Award – the “opera Oscar” in the “Rediscovered Work” category.

The program also features Moniuszko’s songs, which will be performed on the evenings of October 1, 2024 at the Poznań Bazaar and on October 13 in the opera foyer. Songs and scores for solo piano arranged for a chamber ensemble will be presented by the artists of the Theater under the direction of Andrei Yakushau.

A short musical story inspired by Moniuszko’s works „najnajMONIUSZKO” has been prepared for the youngest viewers.
