The Grand Theater in Poznań will premiere three operas in the upcoming artistic season, including: “Raftsman” by Stanisław Moniuszko (directed by Barbara Poll, conducted by Rafał Kłoczko), new Zygmunt Krauze’s opera inspired by “The Marriage” by Witold Gombrowicz (featuring Jan Jakub Monowid, Michał Partyka and Łukasz Konieczny in the title roles; libretto and staging by Krzysztof Cicheński; Katarzyna Tomala-Jedynak conducting on the podium) and “Turandot” by Puccini (directed by Ran Arthur Braun, conducted by Jacek Kaspszyk).

The theatre will also revisit “The Magic Flute” and “The Barber of Seville” (with Andrzej Filończyk as Figaro, Krzysztof Bączyk as Don Basilio), “Rusałka” and “Jawnuta”. In 2025, the Grand Theater celebrates its 115th anniversary, which has inspired the season’s motto: GENERATIONS. It empasizes the continuity of the opera tradition and understanding between different age and social groups.
