“The Magic Flute” and “The Marriage of Figaro” among six operas lined up for the 33rd Mozart Festival
May 13 marks the opening of the 33rd Mozart Festival in Warsaw. Spread over two months, it has been held by the Warszawska Opera Kameralna (Warsaw Chamber Opera) since 1991. The program of the current edition features revivals of six Mozart’s operas:
“The Abduction from the Seraglio” – staging by Michał Znaniecki with Music Director Marcin Sompoliński. Featuring: Joanna Moskowicz, Aleksander Kunach, Szymon Rona, Katarzyna Drelich, Sebastian Marszałowicz and Maciej Miecznikowski. On stage on May 16 and 17, 2024.
“The Magic Flute” – staging by Giovanna Castellanos with Music Director Marcin Sompoliński. Featuring: Joanna Moskowicz, Remigiusz Łukomski, Aleksander Kunach, Aleksandra Szmyd, Szymon Kobyliński, Artur Janda, Katarzyna Drelich, Piotr Maciejowski. On stage on May 28 and 29, 2024.
“Idomeneo, re di Creta” – staging by Michał Znaniecki with Music Director Marcin Sompoliński. Featuring: Aleksander Kunach in the title role and Elżbieta Wróblewska, Sylwia Olszyńska, Natalia Rubiś, Tomasz Grygo, Jakub Pawlik, Michał Komorek. On stage on June 4 and 6, 2024.
“Così fan tutte” – staging by Marek Weiss. Featuring: Magdalena Stefaniak, Aleksandra Opała, Sylwia Krzysiek, Aleksander Kunach, Hubert Zapiór, Artur Janda. Adam Banaszak conducts. On stage on June 12 and 13, 2024.
“Don Giovanni” – staging by Michał Znaniecki. Featuring: Łukasz Klimczak and Adam Zaremba in the title role, Joanna Moskowicz, Natalia Rubiś, Aleksandra Borkiewicz-Cłapińska, Aleksander Kunach, Dawid Biwo, Remigiusz Łukomski. Adam Banaszak conducts. On stage on June 19 and 20, 2024.
“The Marriage of Figaro” – staging by Grzegorz Chrapkiewicz. Featuring: Hubert Zapiór, Karina Skrzeszewska, Aleksandra Orłowska, Artur Janda, Jan Jakub Monowid, Elżbieta Wróblewska, Aleksander Kunach, Dariusz Machej, Maciej Miecznikowski, Anna Górska, Jacek Ornafa.
