“Tosca” with Aleksandra Kurzak and Roberto Alagna at Multikino cinemas

Soprano Aleksandra Kurzak and tenor Roberto Alagna, the real-life and stage duo, performed on May 31 and June 2, 2024 in performances of Puccini’s “Tosca” at the Wrocław Opera. Both shows were recorded for cinema screening.

The production, directed by Michael Gielet, received the Jan Kiepura Musical Theatre Award for the best performance. The set and costumes were designed by Gary McCann. Giorgio Croci conducted the show, in which Mikołaj Zalasiński played the role of the ruthless Baron Scarpia.
