Polish singers cast: Justyna Bluj, Paweł Konik, Albert Memeti and Anna Malesza-Kutny on European stages

Justyna Bluj sings in a series of concert performances of Wagner’s “The Valkyrie“. The soprano appears as one of the Valkyries – Ortlinde. The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Music Director of the Metropolitan Opera, Yannick Nezet-Seguin. The first concert in Rotterdam on April 26 will be broadcast live on the Mezzo and Medici.tv channels. A mini tour of Wagner’s work will follow, with performances at the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus, the Dortmund Koncerthaus and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées Paris.

Paweł Konik sings Donner in Wagner’s “The Rhinegold” at the Staatsoper in Stuttgart. Two more performances will be on stage, on April 27 and May 7. The shows will feature Marek Janowski, Polish conductor considered one of the greatest specialists in Wagner’s music. The baritone also performs Oreste in a concert version of “Electra” at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. The work of R. Strauss will be on stage on April 29 and May 21.

Tenor Albert Memeti makes his debut at the Saarländisches Staatstheater in Saarbrücken, Germany. He performs the part of Pedrillo in Mozart’s “The Abduction from the Seraglio“. The show opens on May 10.

Soprano Anna Malesza-Kutny debuts at the Wiener Festwochen festival as Vitellia in Mozart’s “The Clemency of Titus“. Milo Rau’s production will be on stage on May 21, 22, 24 and 25, 2024. Camerata Salzburg will be conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock. Anna Malesza-Kutny has already sung Vitellia – she performed the role on the opera stages in Luxembourg, Antwerp and Ghent in 2023.
