Later this month, the theatre resumes Zawodziński’s production of “Cavalleria rusticana / Pagliacci” with Music Director Georgios Balatsinos – Swiss conductor of Greek origin working with the Sorbian National Ensemble in Bautzen.

The show opens on May 18 with more performances on May 19, June 14-16 and 18. The cast features: Szymon Kobyliński (Mustafà), Iwona Handzlik (Elvira), Aleksander Kunach (Lindoro), Aleksandra Opała (Izabella).

“The Italian Girl in Algiers” is an opera buffa about love adventures of Mustafà, Elvira, Lindoro and Isabella in an oriental setting.
