A few days ago we wrote about Anduaga’s upcoming concert. The Grand Theater in Łódź have now reported on their website:

Ladies and Gentlemen, due to an unforeseen health indisposition of Xabier Anduaga, we would like to announce the performance of Italian tenor Francesco Demuro in Sunday’s “Concert with a Star.” Second to none, regularly appearing on world’s most prestigious opera stages: the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, and the Royal Opera House in London, Francesco Demuro is admired for his exceptional vocal skills and impressive experience, including a number of leading roles in Mozart, Verdi, Donizetti and Puccini’s repertoire.

Born in 1978 in Sardinia, Demuro studied at the conservatory in Sassari and took private lessons with Elisabetta Scanu (soprano) at the conservatory in Cagliari. Over the years, he has been featured worldwide, singing the roles of: Alfredo (“La Traviata”), Rodolfo (“La bohème”), Werther and Faust.

The Italian singer will perform on May 26 in Łódź with Joanna Woś (soprano) and the Grand Theatre orchestra conducted by Rafał Janiak.
